/Snow does fall in Seattle, although it doesn't happen very often. Snowfall can be problematic even though the mild winters usually see more rain than snow. The city's steep environment and dearth of snow removal equipment make it challenging to clear even a few inches of snow. Although there is little to no snowfall in some years, the majority of snowfall occurs between December and February.
